The Delta Crash Cushion is a low cost MASH TL-3 non-gating redirective crash cushion that attenuates energy evenly for all vehicle types with shear bolts tearing through cut-outs of various sizes and shapes. 

Quick and easy installation reduces exposure to traffic. The multi-directional object marker comes in Chevron, Left or Right angles, and can be quickly changed in the field.

The Delta Crash Cushion consists of a series of steel thrie-beam fender panels supported by energy attenuating diaphragms. Panels and diaphragms are easily replaced after redirective and nuisance hits.

The new family of QuadGuard crash cushions offers the latest technology for shielding hazards 610 to 3048 mm (2' to 10').

Each Quadguard System consists of crushable, energy-absorbing cartridges surrounded by a framework of Energy’s exclusive steel Quad-Beam™ panels. These new crash cushions redefine NCHRP 350, Test Level 3 performance for redirective, non-gating attenuators. 

The QuadGuard Systems have successfully passed the complete NCHRP 350, Test Level 3 test matrix with both the light car and high center-of-gravity pickup truck at speeds up to 100 km/h (62 mph) at angles up to 20°. Higher speed units are available.

Delineators

42" delineators with recycled rubber base. Delineators are available with white or yellow tape.

Used to indicate the roadway alignment.  UV inhibitors help minimize fading of the fluorescent orange tube.  Durable Polyethylene construction for durability and flexibility.

Posts are constructed of low density polyethylene with support rings around the reflective bands for added protection. Bases are constructed of 100% recycled rubber.Tested and certified to meet the crashworthy requirements of NCHRP-350.

Kenco K-Rail Barrier Lift

Also widely known as the Ken-lift, the scissor action of this lifter will grip concrete block, wall, curb and median wall securely. Just by setting it down onto the wall top activates the lifter. Our exclusive actuator uses the force of gravity to cause the barrier tongs to clamp tightly against the wall surface. Swiveling pad angles adjust to match the slope of the wall. The wall is held firmly in the device as it is moved and positioned. Once the wall has been set firmly back on the ground, it will release the wall. This action continues with each cycle.

Crack Sealant

Crack Sealants

Crack sealant fills and seals cracks to prevent water from entering the road base unevenly. Water pouring into a road base deforms it and results in more cracking and defects in the road’s surface. Sealant also protects cracks from intrusion of chemicals (such as salt and magnesium chloride), fine particles, and debris, which can enlarge the crack over time.

Joint Sealants

When concrete roads are poured, it is important that transverse and longitudinal joints be cut while the concrete is still green in order to control where the concrete cracks. Though necessary, these cuts create a penetration point for water that needs to be sealed to prevent damage to the road base. While there are many types of sealants, one of the most effective are hot pour asphalt based sealants. Maxwell Products manufactures several sealants that are well suited for use in concrete joints that meet or exceed the relevant industry standard specifications.

Mastics/Gap Seal

Gap Brand Mastics combine the flexibility and adhesion of rubberized asphalt sealants with the strength and load bearing qualities of engineered aggregates. The result provides a stable, flexible repair that bonds firmly with existing pavements to seal out water and prevent further damage for years to come.

RetroFlex Reflectors manufactures multipurpose reflectors for K-rail, guardrail and lath. First Vanguard is an authorized distributor for RetroFlex.

  1. For K-rail installation simply bend, insert into lifting hole, release and push it in. No adhesive required, a reusable and Caltrans approved product.

  2. For use on wooden guardrail and sign posts insert 3/4" roofing nails part way in, hold the reflector in place and drive the nails in.

  3. Simply bend slide onto lath through the interior slots. Good for temporary roadside delineation and marking utilities.

Reflectors are used to delineate k-rail and guard rail.

SKT 350 End Treatment

The SKT 350 (Sequential Kinking Terminal) is an energy absorbing tangent terminal. The SKT is 50'-0" long and has 8 breakaway posts. 

During head-on impacts, the SKT head slides over the W-beam guardrail. The rail is sequentially kinked or bent as it moves through the head. The kinked guardrail exits the head safely and the vehicle is brought to a controlled stop. When impacted along the side within the length-of-need, the SKT functions like guardrail. The errant vehicle is safely redirected back toward its original travel path.

SRT-350 End Treatment

The Slotted Rail Terminal (SRT-350™) is a gating, flared end terminal and is available in a 6-Post and 8-Post System.

SRT/HBA 6-Post System:

  • 2 steel breakaway posts that are typically reusable after NCHRP Report 350 criteria impacts.
  • 4 wood CRT posts
  • installed in a straight-line flare that offers a simple layout on new installations.

SRT 8-Post System:

  •  2 tube sleeves/wood posts
  • 6 wood CRT posts
  • installs on a parabolic flare. The parabolic flare has a “footprint” similar to the previously used BCTs and MELTs, making replacement easier.
